About Sallie
Sallie began her study of Yoga in Lewes in 1973 and has been teaching since getting her Introductory certificate twenty years ago. She passed the Junior Intermediate in 1990 and in 1992 started training and assessing at introductory level. Sallie completed the Senior Intermediate levels in 2004 and now trains and assesses at Junior Intermediate level at the Iyengar Yoga Association UK.
As well as attending workshops in Europe with Mr Iyengar and his daughter Geeta, Sallie has visited India six times to study at the Iyengar Institute.
Sallie has studied for 17 years with Mira and Shyam Mehta, co-authors of Yoga the Iyengar Way. She also studied remedial Yoga with Mira and Silva Mehta.
Sallie has experience of teaching in Adult Education, University sports centres and primary and secondary schools.
Her teaching is clear, lively and structured. It follows closely the sequence and methodology still developing through the insight and knowledge of Guruji and Geeta Iyengar.
